Went shopping with the chap over the Bank Holiday weekend - on a slightly fruitless search for a wedding suit. It was super-hot and he didn't want to keep getting dressed and undressed so we spent about 4 hours going around shops so he could juts try on suit jackets *rolls eyes* but we saw lots of possibles and he looked pretty foxy in those jackets!
I was also on the look out for some shoes but still cant seem to find 'the ones' sigh....

A bit of background
So....
A bit of background on me and the big day I'm preparing for.
I'm 28 and live in South East London with my chap (soon to be husband, can't quite bring myself to use the term 'fiancé' on a regular basis...) we got engaged last May having been together about 3 years.
It was a spur of the moment proposal at the wedding of some very dear friends, the bride was drunkenly trying to throw her bouquet and failed about 4 times before anyone actually caught the ting, by which point I'd got bored and given up. As I turned to go back in the chap was stood there watching me. He took me to one side and said 'I was hoping you'd catch that, if you had I was going to propose to you' I think my response to that was a drunken giggle, at which point he got down on one knee in the rainy street and proposed!
He had no ring so we went to Brighton the following weekend and picked out an art-deco style white gold ring with diamonds and rubies in it *swoon*
The next thing we did was chose our venue which is a lovely private members club in Soho, London.

It has a beautiful roof terrace where we'll be having our dancing and evening reception.

The last 100 days...
Welcome!
In what I like to call a 'reverse Obama' I've decided to chart the last 100 days of preparing for my wedding on 29th August 2009.
There's still a lot to do and I thought it might help me to update my list on here - for the scrutiny of the blogiverse - in an effort to actually GET STUFF DONE!!!
So as it stands the current 'to do' list includes:
-Decide on ceremony wording and vows
- Arrange to meet with Registrar
- Reconnect with photographer and arrange meeting KA
- Sort music for ceremony, drinks reception and party
- Flowers
- Book hotels for Las Vegas and San Francisco parts of honeymoon
- Finalise menu and wine choices with venue
- Buy wedding shoes for me
- Send out invites
- Buy a suit, shirt, tie and shoes for the Groom
- Finalise our gift list
- Book hotels in London for both sets of parents
- Order favours: Fortune cookies from eBay
- Gifts for Bridesmaids
- Gifts for Groomsmen
- Order wedding cakes/macroons
- Buy Wedding rings
- Decide on readings
- Chose first dance
- Buy presents for mums
- Buy luggage for honeymoon
- Finalise seating plans
Oof... That's a lot to do, wish me luck!
